My name is Daniel, I am from the UK, I am 27 years old and have submitted my thesis for my PhD in Financial Mathematics at University College London and also hold a Masters in Mathematics from University College London.

For the past 4 years I have tutored first and second year Mathematics students at UCL both individually and in small groups for Analysis, Calculus and Algebra modules. I also ran problem classes for two modules of the UCL Financial Mathematics Masters course and also ran classes in Python programming for Machine Learning.

Since 2014 I have been tutoring students in Mathematics at 11+, GCSE and A-Level/IB. My A-Level students have improved their grades from B and C to A and A* and gained places at their first choice universities such as Oxford, Imperial, UCL and Warwick.

I also work as an Algorithmic Trading Quantitative Researcher from 9-6 during the week and have over 4 years experience with Machine Learning, Deep Learning for Algorithmic Trading and Python programming.

I always allow my students the space and time to demonstrate to me their abilities and their strengths. I feel like it is important to build confidence in the student and establish a good working relationship before a student can feel comfortable admitting the areas that they struggle in. Once we have developed trust, I will endeavour to thoroughly investigate what methods the students finds helpful for learning and create a learning plan to work on their weaknesses. Read less
