I would be a good chemistry tutor because of my strong foundation in the subject and my ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Throughout JC, I consistently scored As in chemistry, from my very first test to the Prelims, and I was among the top few in my cohort during the Prelims. My participation in the Chemistry Olympiad further highlights my passion and aptitude for the subject. As a peer tutor in JC, I gained valuable experience in helping my classmates understand challenging topics, ensuring they could grasp concepts effectively. Additionally, I was a lead science coach for Primary 5 and 6 students at Mendaki, where I honed my ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s needs. Currently, I am tutoring 2 students (1 O Level and 1 A Level). They have shown significant improvement. My O Level student was constantly failing chemistry. However, now, she has gotten almost a B. My involvement in ChemSoar, where I coded chemistry concepts into an interactive platform, demonstrates my innovative approach to teaching and my commitment to making learning accessible and exciting.
